Are you dedicating your VQ powered car to track use? The Z33/G35 VQ35DE engine has a complex cooling system that incorporates a factory oil heater/cooler while sending hot water to your heater core and assists in opening the engine thermostat. To accomplish this Nissan was definitely not concerned with engine aesthetics or minimizing potential leaks. As most aging 350’s or G35’s the OE preformed hoses that encompass the engine are showing their age. This is a potential track day gremlin and for most an unnecessary point of failure.
Our Non-Thermostatic CSK system removes both the passenger and driver side coolant bypass pipes which removes the heater core from the system and removes the factory oil heater/cooler. It replaces these components with CNC Billet Aluminum components and deletes all unnecessary coolant hoses which greatly reduces potential coolant leaks and streamlines your hot coolant directly to your radiator. The passenger side coolant pipe is replaced with a dedicated high temp silicone hose that works with any stock or aftermarket radiator. Our Non-Thermostatic CSK system includes a specialized thermostat housing that removes the oil heater/cooler return line and internal thermostat. This means the engine will constantly push cooled water into the engine regardless of how low the temperature gets. Since our kit removes the oil heater/cooler its a perfect time to upgrade to a proper oil cooler such as the Mishimoto Oil Cooler System.
This Non-Thermostatic Coolant Simplification Kit – CSK system removes the thermostat, consequently it removes the engines capabilities of controlling how cold it gets, for most this will never be an issue. If you operate your vehicle in cold temperatures its possible the car will never get to optimum temperature. If you wish to keep the engines thermostat we recommend our Thermostatic CSK system.
This system doesn’t fit the HR engine, Nissan completely redesigned the cooling system after the Rev Up model.
